Who is Koraline Evans?

I continued to walk inside saying 'hi' to a lot of different people saying 'hi' to me. So I put on my sunshine smile and tried to act like nothing was bothering me. When the truth was, everyone and everything was bothering me. SO. MUCH. PRESSURE. I have my whole schedule filled out and when I finally get a break, a camper gets in trouble and I have to deal with it, a building gets caught on fire, or Zan and Chance give me a new task to complete. I barely have time to do my homework.

The HQ was fancy and nice no doubt. Crystal ceiling, marble tiled floors, everything here would cost a bajillion dollars if our EWE campers didn't help with the mineral stuff. Out of all the CLs, I had the best desk considering I was also Head Camp Counselor. I turned out my touch screen computer that I created myself, because of my technopathic abilities. I created all 'technoligical' machinery here. WITHOUT PAY. Things I do for these people.

I pull up a chair next to mine for K to sit in. I open up my CP email and I see a new file labeled Evans, Koraline. I open it and I skim through her profile. I decided to skip through all of the personal stuff. That wasn't any of my business. I take my lanyard out from under my shirt with one of 68 keys that I need to help run this camp. I take on gold spiral shaped one and I use it open a drawer next to me. I take a key out along with a sharpie and I write her name on it. I hand it to her, "This is your key to open your Cabin and only your Cabin."

I look once again at K's file and I press the print button. From the printer next to me, out came her entire file, and a small piece of paper with an eight digit number code on it. In the second to the bottom drawer next to me, I take out a plastic cover and another lanyard that says 'Camp Point' on it in a Bleeding Cowboys font. I stick the paper in the casing and I hand her that as well. "This is your badge so we know that you actually attend this camp. You only need to where it the first two weeks, just so we can recognize your face." I say with an actual genuine smile. "So I guess that's it. Any q's?"

I followed Nyx through the large building. No doubt, these folks had money. A crystal ceiling hung over my head, and I looked up. Never had I had money, and never did I think I'd be spending my days in a mansion-like camp! People smiled and greeted Nyx as we walked through the headquarters. I guess she was really official.

Finally, we reached her desk. Looking around, I figured out why the camp was so... expensive looking. There were people with powers that could probably build the whole building itself. People with nature related powers could probably make the cabins, which of course would look nice, and technopaths would probably build computers and such. Maybe the camp wasn't rich. Hell ya it's rich! I thought. Even with all of those things made by people not here, there would be lots of money going into this camp.

Nyx pulled up a seat for me, and I sat down on it. My head hung and I stared at my fingers. I did a little thumb wrestling with my thumbs to fill time. Wondering how the cabins looked, at the corner of my eye, I saw Nyx doing something on her computer thing, which I bet she made. Then, she opened a drawer. I sighed. With all of the rich-looking stuff around me, I thought, Yep, I won't fit in. Another sigh escaped my mouth.

Then, Nyx pulled out a key with my name on it. She handed it to me, and I took it with a sort of smile, acting as a thanks. Soon enough, the printer started making noise, and what looked like a file came out. Nyx took out a lanyard and then put another piece of paper in it. She handed me the two things, and explained what it's for. After taking the lanyard, I examine it. In the casing was some important stuff that I ignored. "Uh..." I began after she spoke, "Yeah. What are the nubers?"

"The numbers are like your social security code. It's to prove that you actually exist." I explain once again. You will be in Cabin 1 aka Mentalities and to enter there you use your key." I say with a wide smile to make her feel more comfortable. "And I am your Cabin Leader!" I say a little bit to enthusiastically.

"Oh..." I said, looking back down at the lanyard. I put it around my head and then dropped my hands. My head had stopped aching by then, and sitting down made me feel a little better. "Oh cool," I said, not really speaking much.

Once Nyx said she'd be my cabin leader, that made me feel even better. At least I actually knew who'd be bossing me around. But then, I really didn't know her personality. She seemed a little stressed, so I knew not to be stressful. Nyx also seemed nice, but maybe it was so she doesn't explode.
