The Flower Fields. It was the only part of the camp that seemed normal. However, it was also my favorite part of it all. Nature, it was my home. I was a daughter of Mother Earth, and she chose me to be her daughter to protect the Earth, well one of them at least. Being able to control and adapt to the Earth, made things so much more simple. I felt like I had a reason to be on this planet. For once in my life, my mother was someone no one could see, feel, or touch. You could hear her, though, in every part of nature.

It was a natural thing for me to be so intertwined with nature. When a plant was crushed, a tree was cut or dying, I could feel it. Always, it felt like they were screaming for me. 'Sephy help me.' Those were the only things that could distract me. That was how I was though, I couldn't help it. It wasn't something I could control, but I had no choice but to feel its pain. Whenever I could, I would help other parts of nature grow and flourish like they should.

Today, it was the day for all the new campers to come in. It was also my second year being a Cabin Leader, as the EWE Cabin Leader had decided to move on with their life, and go to helping troubled countries make water. Still, I felt a little iffy being a leader. Being able to say I was in control of an entire cabin. Man, it was actually a scary thing. My power, and nature really, was much more passive, and people might think they can walk all over me. I might not be able to soak you in a second, or throw fire at you, but I could control the very thing you walked on every second of everyday. That had to stand for something, right?

Maybe, it would be better for me if I just sat down in the flower fields and relax for a little, so I made my way over there. Once I got so far, I took off my sandals, and made my way through the beautiful fields of flowers. It was an amazing thing, to see everything so beautiful and holy. It was like Mother Nature was speaking to me right there. I always felt whole here. Once I got to a circle clearing in the middle of the field, I instantly sat down. It was time to meditate and feel with one with nature. Closing my eyes, I thought about this field, being completely serene and I knew it was my happy place.

I could feel my powers radiating around me, feeling the grass growing greener, the flowers around me getting larger and fuller, everything was right. Opening my eyes, what I saw was exactly as I imagined. Smiling, I couldn't help but taking a picture at the beauty of it all. Why couldn't everyone else see these things?

"Sephy?" I catch with my awesome "hippie-ish" leader, "Can I start a fire?" I'm super-duper excited to be in Camp Point this year. The Fields are so pretty, but I felt naked without Mad by my side. "I like fire." I crouch down and skim my surroundings, using my x-ray vision to look intently at a bug.
"Sephy! It's so cool! I can see through the bug's exterior." excitedly, I examine The Flower Fields with my superhuman sight. "This. Is. Awesome-tastic." I say out loud, to no one in particular.
"You know, Sephy, I can play with fire and destruct stuff. What do you do? You're so peaceful...." I observe her, watching her every move.

I wasn't even expecting one of my kids to find their way up here, especially not this one, but there she was -- Charlie. She was only three years old, and the cutest little thing I had ever seen. Her sister, Mad, was pretty crazy. She had always been under the wing of Nyx, which wasn't surprising. Nyx was one of the nicest people around. Smiling at her, I wondered what exactly she was doing around here.

Almost immediately, she asked if she could start a fire and I frowned. "No no no. Not here, Charlie. How about in a little bit, we go to the lake and we'll make a nice warm fire there. We don't want to burn up the pretty flowers that make the camp money, do we?" That was probably a bad question, because knowing Charlie, she probably would. She was such a cute one, but wouldn't hesitate to burn your eyebrows off. "I promise, I'll help you gather the wood to make it." Wood already off the trees that is. I just didn't want her to set fire to the fields.

She seemed to be looking everything with her subpower, her x-ray vision. I couldn't help but smile when she sounded so excited to look at everything. "Does it look better in x-ray vision, or normal?" I asked the small girl, knowing she could understand every word I said -- probably better than I ever would be able to.

When she asked what my powers were, I thought about it for a longer time. "Well, Charlie, I can do many things with my powers." Moving my hand, I made a flower right in front of her grow faster and tickle her in the face. "I have the powers of the earth, just like you can control fire. I control earth, like the ground and rocks, along with plants." It was the way Mother Nature wanted it, and I couldn't help but agree the same way.

"X-ray vision." I exclaim proudly, watching in amusement as the flower tickles my face. I giggle, sneezing at the touch of the plant inside my nose. My eyes grow wide as a small smile creeps upon my face. Sephy's so nice. I plant myself next to the growing flower, sitting. "This is like TV."

I try to get myself on the same level of content as Sephy. "This is cool." my eyes stray toward a wouded deer and I pick up my pace, running out of breath.

"Sephy! Help it!" my face pleads with her and I pout, "Don't die, Deery." its pulse runs slow as it lays there with intense coldness. I place my palm over it, manipulating heat to save the poor creature. I hug the deer, warming it up.
"Sephy, I tink I saved it!"

So x-ray vision was better than normal vision. I guess that would make some sense, in a way. Still, I liked to look at it no matter how the plants were. "Most of the beauty of the world, can be found in nature. Some people just can't open their eyes to see it. You, young one, can see it in a way others can't." X-ray vision would be a gift, but I also had enough gifts to keep me busy for a lifetime.

She seemed so happy when I made the flower grow to see her. "Its amazing what a simple wave of the hand will do." People may think that my power is a little two passive, but if I wanted to, I could take someone. That would never happen though -- I'm a pacifist, who does not believe in fighting with anyone. Some may say that is just stupid, but I will not fight unless its absolutely necessary.

Raising my eyebrow at Charlie, I wondered exactly what she was doing. She was just sitting there, trying to be as focused on the flower as I was. Within seconds, she was out of my sight. "Charlie?" I yelled, looking around. Eventually, I found her, next to a wounded deer. Getting up, I made my way over, being very gentle to the flowers. What was I supposed to do to help it? My powers had nothing to do with animals, just the plants.

Charlie did something to the deer, and its breathing seemed to go back to a normal speed. "I think you saved it as well. I'm so proud of you, Charlie." For once, she seemed to use her power for something other than destruction. Looking over the deer's wound, I gently waved my hand over it, pulling out any rocks or dirt that seemed to be stuck in it, and waved it away from us. Tearing an end of my shirt, I gently dapped at the wound and wrapped it up. "I hope this saves this poor innocent creature. I shall pray to Mother Nature for your life." I couldn't imagine what Charlie must of thought about me right now, but I knew I had to save this animal's life, so I prayed that Mother Nature would do so.

She never let me down before.

My eyes widen in awe, "You mean your powers won't let you save it?" I watch her pray, so I pray with her, feeling sad. "Poor thing." I keep my palm raised above the deer until it's fully back to normal.

"Thanks, Sephy." I hug her tightly. "For giving me the confidence to use my powers for good." I let go and watch the creature purr -- well, that's not normal -- and walk off.

OOC: Pathetically short.

Charlie seemed so surprised that I couldn't heal the deer. Frowning, I shook my head. "Alas, little one, I cannot. I wish so much that I could. However, that is a gift that my mother -- Mother Nature -- didn't seem fit for me to have. I understand her reasons and respect her knowledge of how my life should be led." Animals were something I couldn't heal. There would be times, much like right now, that I really wished I could, but it was impossible. My gift was with plants and minerals, not with animals. Even if that would be amazing.

I prayed to my mother, wishing that she would help this deer with its hard troubles. Nest it in her sacred arms, and nurse it back to the health she felt fit. Trust was put into the hands of my mother, and I knew she would not let me down. That wasn't something I could install into Charlie. She was too young to understand that Mother Nature gave her the natural element powers for a reason. A reason to serve her. None of the other EWE kids did. At least not to my knowledge.

It seemed that Charlie had completely healed the deer, and I couldn't help but smile proudly at her. Hugging her back, I praised her good intentions. "I'm so proud of you, Charlie!" She thanked me for helping her see the way to do the right thing with her powers. The things Mother Nature would want her to do. "Mother Nature had the faith in you to use your powers to help others. She would be proud of her daughter, Charlie."

Before that moment, I never realized how strange I talked. These were the things I hoped Charlie could understand. She was a smart kid, no doubt, but she might not understand my language. I had a different way with words, a way that no one else could mimic. Still, I hoped the small child could understand the way I spoke. "Now, what do you say that we go find a place for you to start that fire? If you still want to, of course."
